Who are you?
DimeGoch.com was set up by Mabon ap Gwynfor, Nic Dafis, Hedd Gwynfor and Aran Jones. They’re the volunteers who will be arranging the advertisements and organising the lobbying. They will give a very warm welcome to anyone who would like to help with the work…:-)
Is it possible to advertise on DimeGoch.com?
Companies who would like to support DimeGoch.com can become sponsors for £5 a month. Sponsors will be listed on a ‘Support our Sponsors’ page. To ask for a sponsorship form, please email gwas[at]dimegoch.com.
How will the money be spent?
We think that the most important thing is to keep it simple. Money contributed by supporters of DimeGoch.com will go straight into advertisements (online and in Welsh and eventually British print media) until we have enough names on the list to be able to start lobbying large companies. Then we hope to divide funds between continued advertising and the lobbying itself.
Any funds that go towards the lobbying will be for covering the costs of preparing headed paper, arranging meetings and so on in the first instance, and it would be great if in the long term we were able to employ someone part-time to accelerate the work – that would be quite some way down the line, though.
In the short to mid-term, then, we’ll have zero running costs, and every penny will go on advertising, with our volunteer management team keeping in touch and making decisions by email.
How are you planning on influencing large companies?
The extent of our influence will depend on how many people support DimeGoch.com, so if you haven’t already, please click HERE to download a standing order form, and send it to us today. If we could tell Orange, for example, that we had 5000 supporters willing to change accounts to them if they offered services in Welsh, we’d see some fairly quick changes!
